Dua for Jumma to Earn Sawab & Khairo Barkat

Literally meaning "congregation", Jummah (Friday) is hailed as the most important day of the week in Islam. It is marked by the Jumma prayer which is offered at noon instead of the Zuhr prayer.

You can realize the special status of this day from the fact that a Surah of the Noble Quran has been named after it, i.e. Surah Al-Jummu'ah. It is 62nd chapter and contains eleven verses.

There are several Ahadees highlighting the importance of this day. According to a Sahih Hadith, narrated by Hazrat Abu Huraira (May Allah be pleased with him), Allah's Last Messenger (Peace and blessing be upon Him) once said:

"The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday; on it Adam was created; on it he was made to enter Paradise; on it he was expelled from it; and the [last] hour (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) will take place on no day other than Friday." (Muslim)

On another occasion, the Holy Prophet (Peace and blessing be upon Him) said that on this day (Friday), Allah Almighty grants the request of any Muslim servant who asks Allah for something while standing in prayer. However, according to Prophet Muhammad that time of acceptance is very short.

In another Hadith (given in Abu Dawud), the Last Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon Him) has been reported as saying:

"Among the best of your days is Friday. So, pray to Allah frequently on it to bless me, for such supplications of you will be presented to me." (Abu Dawud)

While Friday is hailed as the day of blessings, any pious deed done on this day will bring more Sawab and Khairo Barkat.
